Sean and Emily are goooooood parents. You can just tell with every interaction between them that they love this kid beyond words, and he will grow up to be respectful and kind and smart and all those other good things most people want their children to grow up to be. You can just tell they have an extra special bond....I can't explain it beyond that! And Myles is such a little sweetheart. He wanted me to carry him a couple of times which was so cute, and his "meltdowns" made me laugh...he had a couple and they lasted about 25 seconds each. Ha! Before I realized he was upset he was practically settled down already....kind of hilarious :)

And their outfits were spot on. For some reason they look really, really good in black and white so I had a really tough time deciding which versions to share here! One I decided to share both because I just couldn't decide. Great job Emily!

Pink Balloons | Milwaukee Newborn, Maternity, Family Photographer

I have a confession to make....I was really nervous for this shoot. I was hired to capture a moment in time that could never be recreated, and I worried I would miss it somehow. You see, this couple was finding out the gender of their baby in front of family and friends...if pink balloons came out of the box it was a girl and of course blue for a boy. Big moment.

As it turns out, I did not miss it :) Phew!

JJ is, to put it mildly, insanely beautiful. I had so much fun looking at his cute little mug this past week! Plus he gave me just the right mix of smiles, laughs and curious stares into the camera which made for one of my favorite sessions to date! Enjoy :)

Lauryn, as you will see below, should be a little baby model. Those eyes and cheeks are so so adorable! Plus she was super smiley so that was just icing on the cake. Her mom and dad were lots of fun to work with too. I have known her mom for many years so it was fun to just kind of goof around for an hour :)

This guy was such a joy to photograph! I am a total sucker for blue eyes for starters, plus he was just a happy little guy the whole time! To top it off his parents brought some awesome outfits for him that just added to the cuteness. Great job guys! :)

Nick here was a really good sport. I could be wrong, but I don't think a lot of 17 year old guys are terribly excited about doing a photo shoot. Despite that, he did a really great job of just rolling with it! Eventually, though, I took one picture too many and he was "done." It made for one of my favorite shots of the day :)

These two kids are some of my favorites. I've known both of them since the day they were born and it was so fun to get them in front of my camera. I see them all the time, but seeing them this way made me really step back and realize how OLD they are getting!! Okay so they are still only 7 and 5, but still....they're like big kids now! Adorable as ever, though :)
